Osteopathy

Our Osteopathic services embody a holistic approach to patient care, embracing the idea that the body works as an integrated unit. Our Osteos undertake a thorough initial assessment (45-60mins) considering detailed medical history, functional movement examination and local biomechanic assessment of the musculoskeletal system in addition to any relevant neural, vascular, and lymphatic structures where applicable. Our extensive assessment further enables our practitioners to acknowledge and account for any underlying medical and psychosocial factors impacting your health and wellbeing.

The goal of any osteopathic treatment is to identify factors contributing to the presenting complaint and remove pain while restoring function. The Peak Health team utilise a myriad of treatment techniques including myofascial release, muscle energy techniques (MET), joint mobilisations, and high-velocity low-amplitude (HVLA) adjustments. Manual therapy has been shown to assist in promoting changes to modify pain and improve function, but this is only one part of our management paradigm. At Peak we place a strong emphasis on restoring movement using exercises, addressing ergonomics, and general lifestyle advice that will help promote long term change.

Exercise Physiology

Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists are university qualified Allied Health Professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people with acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities. Pathology domains covered by our Physiologists include cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, musculoskeletal, and mental health conditions.

Our clinicians have extensive experience and understanding in not only management and rehabilitation, but also training for performance enabling them to get you back to full training and competition capacity, not just daily function where necessary.

Peak Health’s Exercise Physiologists undertake a thorough initial assessment (60mins), looking to identify and address the underlying issues which have led to your pain or pathology, not just the symptoms, leading to better long-term results. All Exercise Physiology sessions are one-on-one with services Private Health and Medicare rebateable where applicable.

Personalised Training Programs: Every training session is adjusted to your needs and objective measures ascertained from your most recent movement assessment.

Continued Re-Assessment: Every 12 weeks we reassess your movement and health status to ensure the training program is improving your strength, fitness, and functionality in the most efficient and effective manner possible!

Sport Science

Peak Sport Science gives athletes of all levels access to performance testing equipment and protocols usually reserved for the elite sporting environment. More data means more opportunity to quantitatively track training improvements and make training modifications to insulate from potential injury and improve athletic performance. This service is available within our gym or we can come to you with tailored assessment protocols applicable to your sport utilising the following scientific equipment:

Body Composition Analysis

The scales don’t tell the whole story when it comes to health, wellness and body compositional changes. Our non-invasive clinical grade Body Composition Analyser will help to give you a truer indication of where you are at by providing values of Body Fat Percentage, Segmental Breakdown of Fat and Muscle Distribution, Basal Metabolic Rate, changes to these values over time and many other objective measures.

If trialling a new diet, or undertaking a strength cycle, track its efficacy objectively for a fraction of the cost of other providers!

NUTRITION

Our Nutrition service focuses on improving your overall health, diet, nutrition, and wellbeing by addressing a variety of health behaviours, rather than focusing solely on weight-based outcomes. Our Nutritionist undertakes a comprehensive 60-minute initial consultation, assessing physical,medical, dietary, social and lifestyle factors. Our compassionate approach ensures you feel welcomed, listened to, and supported while receiving the best possible care.Following your initial consult, you will receive a detailed and personalised nutrition plan to kick startyour new health journey.
